Fly over a spectacular glacial region and experience wilderness rafting on this thrilling opportunity to experience the natural beauty of Alaska.

You'll proceed directly to Skagway Airport for a spectacular 45-minute flight over the massive ice-fields and glaciers of the Chilkat Mountains. Perhaps you'll glimpse elusive mountain goats, bears, or moose in the valleys below.

After your aircraft touches down in Haines, you'll proceed on a 30-minute journey up the Chilkat Valley. An 18-foot inflatable river raft awaits for your trip through the beautiful Balk Eagle Preserve. Please note, there is no white water. Many eagles are in the valley at this time of year, so you may glimpse them perched in trees or feeding in the shallows. Other wildlife occasionally roaming the water's edge include moose, grizzly bears or wolves. You'll float by the village of Klukwan where the Chilkat Indians have lived in harmony with the river for centuries.

To add to your enjoyment, a tasty picnic-style lunch will be served at the river's edge before you return to the airport for you return flight to Skagway.

Approximately 6 hours.
