Land on centuries old glacial ice and marvel at the serene majesty of the Juneau Icefield on this spectacular flightseeing excursion. You'll be surrounded by a magical world, inaccessible by other forms of transportation. This unique adventure is like having your own helicopter.

After liftoff, your expert pilot will soar over Juneau for views of the gleaming Crystal Symphony and the ruins of the gold mines that brought great fame to this city.

Next, while soaring through high mountain passes above alpine meadows, be alert for sightings of mountain goats, moose, black bears and bald eagles. As you cross the mountainous back country, the pilot will highlight particular points of interest through your individual headset.

Soon your helicopter lands on a magnificent glacier and the pilot shuts down the engine allowing you to step out for a personal guided look at this marvel of nature. By way of pure indulgence, you'll even be served a refreshing glass of champagne accompanied by strawberries. Peer deep into a crevass or observe a glacial stream that suddenly emerges and then disappears beneath the icy surface. Under the watchful eye of your pilot/guide you'll discover fascinating glacial features and become acquainted with the icefield's history.

During your return flight you'll see the ice spires and pinnacles of an ice fall and glimpse the floating Dead Branch Glacier. Don't forget your camera and plenty of film for unparalleled photographic opportunities!

Approximately 2 hours (flight time is 45 minutes).
