Cares of the world drift away on this sea kayak experience within the beautiful protected bays and inlets near Sitka.

Helpful staff outfit you in rainwear and a life jacket before you take a motorized, inflatable raft out to the floating kayak base camp in Camp Coogan Bay.

After receiving instruction in maneuvering your safe, ocean-going, two-person kayak, you'll cast off in groups of four to six boats. Experienced guides, well versed in paddling techniques, lead you through waterways surrounded by lush rain forest and enlighten you about the fascinating marine environment. sights along the way may include colorful inter-tidal invertebrates and eagles swooping from the tree tops. You might even see brown bear, harbor seals or Sitka black-tailed deer.

Following this fun-filled experience, you'll enjoy a hot beverage and snack at the base camp.
