The spectacle of sea and islands from Cape Sounion is one of the most breathtaking in all of Greece.

After leaving the pier, there are enchanting views as your air-conditioned coach meanders along the Saronic Gulf to the Cape.

You are destined for the Temple of Poseidon, which lies dramatically poised on a craggy promontory 200 feet above the sea.  It was here that the ancients Greeks worshiped Poseidon, the God of the Seas.  This temple, which still retains 15 of its original 34 Doric-style columns, was build around 450 B.C.

Refreshments will be served at a fine restaurant in the resort area of Vouliagmeni before you return to the ship.

Approximately 4 hours.
