This is the southernmost tip of the Americas, known as the Tierra del Fuego ("Land of Fire"). The steep streets of Ushuaia overlook the green waters of Beagle Channel, named after the ship in which Darwin made his historic expedition in 1832. Behind rise snow-capped peaks, the tail-end of the Andes. Be on the lookout for seals, penguins and wild guanacos.
